查泰萊夫人的情人-(英語原著版.第二輯) 作者簡介
勞倫斯(1885—1930)，英國短篇小說家、詩人、散文家，20世紀英國最有成就、最有爭議的作家之一。出生于英國諾丁漢郡的伊斯特伍德村，從小與母親關系親密。1911年母親去世后，發表了第一部長篇小說《白孔雀》。從1914年起，開始靠寫作謀生。1915年完成了其最偉大的、最有代表性的作品之一《虹》，但很快被禁。1920年歷經曲折后又發表了《虹》的姊妹篇《戀愛中的女人》。第一次世界大戰后，勞倫斯開始尋求一種西方工業文明所無法提供的更加令人滿意的生活方式，并開始了旅行生活，于1925年回到歐洲。1928年，他的最后一部小說《查泰萊夫人的情人》遭禁。勞倫斯在近20年的創作生涯中，為世人留下了10多部小說，3本游記，3卷短篇小說集，數本詩集、散文集和書信集及多幅美術作品。
