聯合國193個會員國首腦一致通過了《2030年可持續發展議程》，議程設定了17項可持續發展目標，涉及到社會、經濟和環境以及與和平、正義和高效機構相關的重要方面，為今后的發展制定了藍圖。該議程于2016年1月1日正式啟動。為積極配合聯合國這一重大行動，探討以儒學為主干的中華文化能夠為解決當代人類社會面臨諸多問題提供什么樣的智慧和啟示，闡釋儒學文化在促進世界和平，實現人類可持續發展方面的價值，國際儒學聯合以“儒學與人類可持續發展”為主題向國內外知名學者征集論文。全書包含22篇論文，涉及儒學與全球治理、儒學與人類命運共同體、儒學與生態文明、儒學與文明對話、儒學與全球倫理，儒學·經濟·教育等子題。

儒學和人類可持續發展(英文版) 作者簡介
國際儒學聯合會（英文名：International Confucian Association，簡稱：ICA）是由中國、韓國、日本、美國、德國、新加坡、越南等國家和中國香港、中國臺灣地區與儒學研究有關的學術團體共同發起，于1994年10月5日在中國北京正式宣告成立；1995年7月在中國民政部注冊登記，是具有法人地位的國際性學術團體。聯合會永久會址設在中國北京。國際儒聯的建設宗旨為研究儒學思想，繼承儒學菁華，發揚儒學精神，以促進人類之自由平等，和平發展與繁榮。
